REAL MADRID MAY CRASH AT DERBY MATCH

Carlo Ancelotti side faces disturbing neighbours, Atletico Madrid, today at the Santiago Bernabeu.

Atletico has had an impressive start to the campaign this season as it has gone through six La Liga match unbeaten, gathering 18points lying just below Barcelona which are on top of the table. This form has helped striker Diego Costa score 7 goals so far.

Diego Simeone’s side, Atletico, after about 14 years of defeat and 22 league matches leading to six draws can finally boast and are confident of trashing city rival. They were able to do that at the Copa del Rey where Real was beaten 2-1, seeing Mourinho and Portuguese star Cristiano Ronaldo being sent off.

Simeone has emphasized that Real is a better team but, will rather lay confidence on counter attack from his side. With defender Luis Filipe and Chelsea long loan young stopper Thibaut Courtois both saying we know how to beat Real, coupled with the great confidence from the team, Real may have a run for their money.

Owing to the narrow escape from Wednesday clash against Elche that saw a controversial penalty which was converted by Ronaldo, Ancelotti has said his team needs to play with more intensity and personality as they will not win derby if they play in the same manner.

Although Ancelotti has praised his side with more quality, the Italian also commented on Diego Simeone tactics as he matches it with Simeone style of play during his playing days
