A FACE-OFF BETWEEN VAN PERSIE AND SHAWCROSS

Manchester United striker Robin Van Persie had a clash with Stoke captain Ryan Shawcross.

The netherland international had a serious quarrel with skipper Shawcross during on and off the pitch on their weekend fixture that gave Man United a 3-2 victory.

The movie started when Shawcross involved in an incident with Persie was seen pulling Persie by the neck before the half-time break. The pair had a bust-up immediately. The feud continued as Persie confronted Shawcross when walking down the tunnel for the half-time break.

Stoke manager Mark huges confirmed that refer Lee Masonm issued Shawcross a yellow card in the dressing room.

Persie was also seen muttering during Shawcross after match interview, which offended Shawcross. The pair may have been bitter rivals before now as Persie was in Arsenal back in 2010 when Shawcross broke Aaron Ramsey’s leg.

Man United struggled in the match as it took Mexico star Javier Chicharito Hernandez’s late strike to claim victory.
