French giant AS Monaco shocked London side Arsenal as they trashed the Gunners 3-1 at the Emirates stadium in Wednesday's night champions league knockout fixture.
The visitors saw the net twice through Geoffrey Kondogbia and Dimitar Berbatov in the 38th and 53rd minutes respectively before it took the brilliance of Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain to pull one back for the Gunners.
But Arsenal failed to hold on as Monaco got their two goals lead back in a beautiful counter attack and pin point pass display that saw Yannick Ferreira-Carrasco netted home the third.
The champions league run seem over for the Gunners as they would have to produce three unreplied goals in the return leg at Stade Louis II.
