Manchester united midfielder Juan Mata scores twice as he
fires side to victory against rivals Liverpool in Sunday’s Premier League clash
at Anfield.
The Spaniard set one pass Liverpool goalie Simon Mignolet
through a long searching pass from Ader Herrera in the 14th minutes
and made an audacious bicycle-kick after a skillfully placed 1-2 with Angel Di
Maria in the 59th minutes.
Liverpool had a disappointing performance at Anfield as Daniel
Sturridge pulled one back for the Reds with the only shot on target.
There was intense drama during the game as Liverpool’s holding
midfielder Steven Gerard saw red after an unexpected foul on Ander Herrera just
less than one minute into his introduction in the 2nd half.
Wayne Rooney failed to make it three for Man United as he
missed the resulting penalty from the foul on Delay Blind.
Man United stay in forth position on the table as Liverpool
remain in 5th.
