Ambrose gets cash reward for Nigeria goal

Nigeria defender Efe Ambrose has been rewarded with the sum of $20,000 after the Super Eagles beat Swaziland 2-0 on Tuesday

The Celtic defender netted the second goal, sealing the victory and pushing Nigeria to the next stage of African World Cup qualification

The 27-year-old received the reward as it was promised by River state Governor Nyesom Wike to give the goalscorers of the match this mouth watery incentive

Ambrose may not have been on fine form for club side but has proven worth after converting a well taken delivery in a set piece

Chelsea midfielder John Obi Mikel was missing in action in this glorious win. The father of twins was dropped by Head-coach Sunday Oliseh prior to the match

Oliseh played Paul Onibo instead and as the fan's temper rises,  Oliseh is  quick to pour cold water on any speculation suggesting the home-based as Mikel's replacement

The Super Eagles legend said nobody have a fixed spot in the team
