WE GAVE ITALY TOO MUCH RESPECT- KESHI

Nigeria head coach Stephen Keshi has admitted his team showed Italy too much respect as they were timid in front of goal.

Italy forced Nigeria to 2-2 draw as they equalized in the 2^nd half. Although the four-time world champions had enough chances to seal a victory but were unlucky as the ball hit the cross bar twice.

But Keshi has said “Maybe, we had too much respect for them, but am sure if by chance we meet at the world cup, we will put up a better performance”.

The former Nigerian defender also admitted his team have to work hard individually on club level to be able to get picked for the World Cup finals in Brazil as Keshi has more than enough options.
