[READ] Man Utd players farewell messages to the departed Rafael

Former Manchester United full back Rafael da Silva has been showered with nice messages following his transfer to Ligue 1 side Olympique Lyonnais in a four year deal

The 24-year-old had a disappointing season last term as he fell out of favour under the authority of man utd manager Lious Van Gaal.

Rafael and his twin joined Old Trafford in 2008 from Fluminense; and while Fabio moved to Cardiff City in 2014, Rafael has rather left the shores of England to play his football some where else.

Rafael, filled with joy at a brighter opportunity in France had this to say on his twitter account

But it was his former teammates who took to twitter to express how much they will miss the Mexican.

Having joined Olympique Lyonnais, it is understood that Rafael had the liberty of choosing his own number jersey and the former man utd lover picked the number 20.
