FANS STRUCK LINESMAN BY FIREWORKS AFTER GOAL

A linesman was struck by a flare (lighted firework) in a Premier League fixture earlier today.
During the match where  Tottenham Hotspur clashed with Aston Villa, earlier today, it was captured by a television camera where Assistant referee David Bryan was struck at the back of his neck with a flare. The incident happened after a goal from Hotspur striker Andros Townsend. The lighted firework was seen to have been thrown from the Tottenham’s section of fans.

On the grounds that the Football Association and Premier League, has warned against flare during matches, Police were able to get into investigations and two victims were arrested.

Although Bryne seemed real fine after the incident without sustaining any injury at such, we are unsure the kind of punishment that awaits the London side for such act.

The match later ended 2-0 in favour of Tottenham Hotspur.
