COVENANT UNIVERSITY PREPARES FOR NUGA GAMES

In preparation for the NUGA games, football teams of Covenant University (CU) and Allover Central Polytechnic (ACP), Ota defiled the early downpour of rain on Thursday to play a friendly match.

The match took place in the swimming-pool like pitch of CU, giving the host team advantage over the away team.
CU are getting themselves ready for the NUGA as Coach said “I am happy and welcome the friendly match as it prepares the team for the NUGA games coming up in December”

ACP Coach expressed his joy with the home side as he said “I like the way we were showed hospitality by CU" .

All goals were scored in the first half. CU proved their dominance as they scored the opener 15minutes into the game, but ACP show a preserved fighting spirit as they got back into the game with Akeem Olopade beautiful free kick. The home side didn't give up as they sealed the victory with just seconds to the end of the first half.

The game ended 2-1 in favour of CU.
