CONTRACT EXTENSION FOR DIEGO COSTA

Diego Costa has agreed on contract extension with his current club side Atletico Madrid. The Brazilian striker’s current deal would be ending 2015.

The 24year old has been uncertain about his future as clubs around has come with flattery offers on his current salary at the Spanish club. This has brought about assurance from his club side and verbally agreed to extend his stay at Madrid

Costa who started his career in Barcelona Esportivo in Sao Paulo made 59 appearances scoring 16 goals in 2010 for Atletico and also made 16 appearances on loan for Rayo Vallecano in 2012 scoring 9 goals. Costa’s 35 minutes equalizer at the 2013 Copa del Rey final pushed the match into extra time, giving Miranda an opportunity to seal the victory over neighborhood rivals Real Madrid.
