Arsenal in shock move for Berbatov

Arsenal would be preparing a shock move for Fulham striker Dimitar Berbatov. The Gunners manager
Arsene Wenger is more in the transfer market for a striker as his main option Oliver Giroud is sidelined due to injury.

Giroud's out-of-favour replacement Nicklas Bendtner also suffered injury after scoring against Cardiff City on New year's day.

As the London side hope to remain at the top of the league, making offer for Berbatov may just be to right next step to take. The 32-year-old would be out of contract at the end of the season and the Gunner would offer a short term deal for the Bulgarian .

Berbatov helped his team with a victory against West Ham; a result that put them two points away from relegation.
