Barcelona president backs Suarez

Barcelona president Josep Maria Bartomeu has backed Liverpool striker Luis Suarez owing to the latter’s public apology to Giorgio Chiellini.

This remorseful act has gained much love from the Catalan club. Although this will be the third biting incident in Suarez football career, Bartomeu is adamant that the Uruguayan star will change.

“Luis Suarez made a mistake in one game and apologized, that was an honourable gesture. I think this is the first step towards him changing and rehabilitating himself as a public figure.” said Bartomeu

Barcelona will hopefully make an offer for Suarez in the summer
