Former Liverpool winger Ryan Babel has backed the Anfield fresher Roberto Firmino to succeed at the club.

Firmino who was Babel's teammate at Hoffenheim has been termed by Babel as a very tricky player.

"I'm very happy for him. He's very talented and now it is down to him. He is the kind of player that can give a lot of joy to Liverpool fans because he's a very skillful player" Babel told Liverpool official site.

The Brazilian star signed a four year contract with Liverpool for the sum of £29million last month.

Firmino had helped his former team scoring seven goals in 33 appearances last season with 10 assist.
